user-02What is Feng Shui?

Did you know?

Feng Shui means wind and water and without these two elements we could not survive.

Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese art and science of creating positivity for change in our lives. It is bringing more of the things we love and desire for a harmonious flow of energy within our home or office areas.

It is the architecture of life and it is what we build or create for ourselves.

Feng Shui (pronounced Fung Schway) examines the flow of positive or negative energy (Qi) of your living environment. Feng Shui allows us to learn how to enhance, balance, and harmonize the energy for every day living.

Feng Shui is your home, your office, and even your butcher located down the street that you visit every Saturday, they are all reflections of some part of your life and we are always at the right place at the right time.

For example, have you ever noticed that there is a specific area of your home where you may argue? Is it the kitchen, the dinning area or the living room, well this could be the Feng Shui of that particular area that could be reflective of arguments and we don’t even realize it.

Feng Shui identifies the opportunities for improvement in all areas of life…wealth, health and relationships.  Now in today’s modern society there are other variables to consider especially relating to health, such as Sick Building Syndrome (chemical products we use, good ventilation and the exposure to high electromagnetic fields including WiFi, mobile phone towers and mobile phones).

It’s History and Foundation

Form School

Feng Shui history began up to 6000 years ago and was used by Royalty to find the best place to bury the dead (Yin) and to best place to build a city (Yang).  If the site was poorly chosen it could have lead to famine or war.  If the site was chosen well this would represent prosperity and wealth.  Chosen sites were close to water, high ground and fertile soil with plenty of vegetation.   This is to be known as Form School and is today applied as your garden analysis and your furniture placement within the home or office.

Compass School

China was a wealthy nation and the people of surrounding countries were curious about Feng Shui and how it had such a great impact on wealth.  So without the Emperor giving up his Feng Shui secrets he asked his Feng Shui consultant to create a version of Feng Shui that was easy to interpret and understand for the foreigners.  This is what we know today as Compass School and this analyses the different directions of your home/office and how they reflect what is happening in your life.

Flying Star School

This was the most sacred of all of the Feng Shui schools.  Flying Star School  is the most important of all of the schools as it examines  the different types of qualities of energy that are present within our home or office.  It is the mathematical science also known as the language of the universe.

Below is an example of a Flying Star chart:
